Programme
Saturday

We will meet at the youth hostel in Basel where you can leave your luggage.
We'll cross the Rhine with one of the ferries from Great Basel to Little
Basel. In Little Basel we will go to the Tinguely museum. Lunch will be
served afterwards in the Solitude Park outside the museum close to the
Rhine. After lunch we will walk around to get the feeling of the town.
In the evening we will have dinner and a dress-up party. Prizes for the
best costumes!

Sunday
We will have breakfast in the Youth Hostel and from there we will go to the SBB to rent our bikes. There is the possibility of leaving our luggage at the SBB. We will bike from Basel to Dornach, which is situated in Canton Solothurn. We will have a BBQ and there we can do some sport activities. After the bike trip we can all go to the Rhine for a swim in Western Europe's longest river.
Participation and Costs
The number of participants for the weekend is limited to 30 persons and IAESTE trainees have priority. In addition there will be another 40 persons who can join our dress-up party on Saturday evening from 20:00 onwards.
Costs (to be paid during the weekend):
- The participation fee is CHF 70
- The fee includes
- Lodging (the night between Saturday and Sunday)
- Local transport
- Entrance to Tinguely museum
- Bike rental
- Lunch and dinner on Saturday
- Party on Saturday evening
- Breakfast in youth hostel and BBQ lunch on Sunday
- NOT included: train ticket from your home to Basel
- Those just wanting to join the party have to pay an entrance fee of CHF 15. Dinner and drinks are also included!
For those who arrive on Friday night (Gleis 7 generation!), the extra cost is CHF 29 for one night with breakfast at the youth hostel.
