Wine Tasting Weekend 2001
This weekend we will enjoy the beauty of the Lake of Geneva region and taste some typical Swiss specialties such as wine, cheese fondue and
Raclette.
Programme

In the Lausanne railway station's hall between 11:00 and 11:15. Don't be late! |
| 14:00 |
Wine tasting in a wine cellar situated in a picturesque village surrounded by vineyards and with a splendid view over the lake of Geneva.
After the wine tasting we will hike a bit through the vineyards, before returning to Lausanne.

Dinner Swiss-food restaurant situated above Lausanne, featuring a panoramic view on Lausanne and the lake of Geneva.

| Sunday 7th October |
| 11:00 |
Meeting in the Lausanne railway station's hall. Shortly afterwards we will board the train that leads us to Montreux, where we get out and
walk along the lakeside to the Chillon castle. |
| 13:30 |
Guided visit of historic Chillon castle. Afterwards we return to Lausanne. |
Accomodation
Rooms have been booked in the brand new Lausanne guesthouse hostel.
It is situated very close to the railway station.
Do not forget to take with you
- Your lunch for Saturday and Sunday (Buy something in a bakery in Lausanne Sunday is also possible)
- Your international student card (if you have one)
- A sleeping bag
- Your train ticket if you have one (half price, GA/AG, Voie 7/Gleis 7....)
- Some money (For the event & drinks)
Costs
Approximately 80 francs. This price includes the train from Lausanne to Rivaz (wine cellar) / Chillon and back, the night at the hostel,
the Chillon castle entrance fee and the Saturday evening's meal (without drinks). To be paid during the weekend.
Number of participants
Please note that the number of participants is limited to 30, register early, first come first served!

sure that you are well insured.

Last Remarks
I (Beat Fasel, the organizer) cannot be personally present during the weekend (I have to work :(). However, Samuel Martin (who organized
the last Lausanne weekend) will guide you on Saturday and Matthias Preisig on Sunday.
For those who have a Gleis7/Voie7 train ticket it is also possible to arrive already on Friday evening. Note however, that you have to organize
the overnight stay yourself (e.g. try to contact the Lausanne guesthouse hostel).
