"PEACE!"

logo

Saturday, August 10, 2002

Thirthy Love Mobiles

will drive trough the center of Zurich loaded with dancers and booming their technosounds into the hot afternoon air.

After the parade

Zurich will become a raver's paradise with DJ's from all over the world performing live at more than twenty locations. Even if you're not a big techno fan, this event is worth visiting!

IAESTE

provides some info about the Street Parade on this webpage. If you want to enjoy the parade together with other trainees you can join the IAESTE group. Let's meet at 3 p.m. at the main entrance of ETH Zurich, Rämistrasse 101!

Let's party !

Music tastes are different. Below we give you a short overview of the most important events on Saturday evening. More info can be found at the official Street Parade site. IAESTE will also distribute a guide of the events at the meeting point.

ENERGY is the biggest event taking place at three different locations in Zurich Oerlikon. The lineups are featuring world famous DJs like e.g. Kai Tracid or mas Ricardo and some local stars like Tatana or Pure. It's a good idea to purchase a pre-sale ticket at the Ticket Corner.

The party at the main station is for free but rather crowded. If the weather is fine, outdoor fans can think about listening to the sounds of Goa and Psychedelic Trance at the Zoo(m).

The public preferring a particular style of techno, house, D'n'B, trance, ... is best served in the smaller clubs like e.g. Kaufleuten, Rohstofflager, Rote Fabrik, ...

Besides these and other "key events" a lot happens outside, on the street. It is a great pleasure to just walk around and explore the multitude of party's taking place at Limmatquai, Langstrasse and Niederdorf, ...

Take with you ...

  • Street Parade adequate outfit (optional), see pics for reference.
  • Lot's of energy, best in form of carbohydrates, not drugs. Tip: A Friday-evening pasta party is a good preparation.
  • One or two bottles of liquid, depending on the temperature. The drink shops at the parade are expensive.
  • Maybe ear props for the more sensitive natures. There are several "ear-prop centers" on the parade track.
  • Watch out for pickpockets. No wallets in the backpack, don't repeat the error of a last-year trainee!

To warm up

people living in and around Zurich can listen to Radio Street Parade at 107.1 MHz.
