The following list gives you some ideas about what you could do on your "free"
weekends in Switzerland:
- Nature and Sports:
- Mountain Biking
- Hiking
- Skiing (from December to April, but also Summer Skiing on some glaciers,
e.g. Glaciers des Diablerets)
- Mountains: Jungfraujoch (expensive!), Rigi, Pilatus, Säntis, ...
- Cross Country Skiday
- Sights, Visits:
- Cities: Lucerne, Bern, Geneva, Basel, St. Gallen with Bodensee (Lake Constance), Neuchâtel, Schaffhausen (Rheinfall)...
- Villages: Appenzell, ...
- Cheese Dairy (Stein AR, Gruyères, Appenzell, late september or early october)
- Adventure:
- Bungy Jumping (Centovalli Fun&Action, ...)
- Go-Kart Driving (Wohlen (outdoors), Rümlang (indoors), ...)

There are many more things of course! If you need some more advice ask
other IAESTE trainees or people from the Local Committee. Most of them
show up on the Weekly Meeting. You may also send your
questions and suggestions to the trainees-list
or to the reception officer.
