Bern-Weekend

14.-15.8.2004

Discover the capital of Switzerland by boat and on foot. On Saturday we will make a sightseeing tour through the wonderful bernese old town. You will see the Zytglogge, the birthplace of Albert Einstein and we will have a guided tour in the Swiss parliament building. There you can see how the political system in Switzerland is built up. We will have a barbecue nearby the youth hostel in the evening where we will also spend the night.

When the weather is good we will go on a boat trip (like riverrafting boats) on the river Aare from Thun to Bern on Sunday. That’s not going to be a wildwater ride, but you have to be able to swim!

After arriving back in Bern in the afternoon, the official end will be at the youth hostel.
