Wine Tasting Weekend 2004
Sat 23rd to Sun 24th October 2004

This weekend we will enjoy the beauty of the Leman Lake region and taste
some typical Swiss specialities such as wine, cheese fondue and raclette.
Programme
| Friday 22nd October |
|
You may travel to Lausanne on Friday evening with Gleis7 train ticket.
For the overnight stay, we recommend to contact

| Saturday 23rd October |
|
Meeting in Lausanne railway station's hall at 11:00 am. A train leads
us to Epesses, a picturesque village surrounded by vineyards,
with a splendid view over the Leman Lake. Short walk, picnic.
Wine tasting in an authentic wine cellar where you have the possibility
to ask everything you ever wanted to know about wine production and to
buy some bottles before returning to Lausanne.
Dinner in a typical swiss-food restaurant situated in Lausanne.
Getting to know Lausanne nightlife.

| Sunday 24th October |
|
Meeting in the railway station's hall. Train to Montreux from
where we walk along the lakeside to Chillon.
Visit of the historic Chillon castle (have a look at
www.chillon.ch).
Afterwards we return to Lausanne by train or boat.

Accomodation
Rooms have been booked in the brand new Lausanne guesthouse hostel.
It is situated very close to the railway station. Please note that no breakfast will be served.
Cost for the Weekend
The price of the weekend is at the most Sfr. 90.-,
depending of the weather conditions.
This price includes the transfers from Lausanne to Epesses and Chillon,
the night at the hostel, the wine tasting, the Chillon castle entrance fee
and the Saturday evening's meal.
Please take with you
- Your lunch for Saturday and some food for Sunday
- Your international student card (if you have one)
- A sleeping bag
- Your train ticket (half price, GA, Gleis 7, ...)
- Some money (for drinks, wine, ...)
