group ticket from Lucerne to Engelberg.
Gleis 7
The Gleis 7 ticket (free train rides after 19:00) is not valid
on the train between Engelberg and Lucerne. However, you can use it when returning
from Lucerne on Sunday evening.
People from further away
If you come from further away and have problems to come to Zurich/Lucerne
so early in the morning: You can still participate! Check with your
fellow trainees, we are sure that you can stay somewhere in Zurich over
night!
Participation Details & Costs
The number of participants is limited to 40 persons (staff included).
Costs
| GA* | CHF 100.- | Price without train ticket (not necessary because of GA) |
| 1/2** | CHF 110.- | Price with a half-fare ticket (Halbtax-Abonnement) |
| Full | CHF 130.- | Price with full-price train ticket |
|   |
| Surcharge | CHF 20.- | Additional cost if you are a guest (not from IAESTE, ESN, AIESEC or IAAS) |
*GA = General-Abonnement, a free-ride-ticket for a whole year.
**1/2 = "Halb-Tax Abonnement" - the half price ticket. All tickets you buy are half price for one year
Here we would recommend that if you don't have a Halb-Tax Abonnement (Half-Fare Card) yet that you should buy one! You will save CHF 20 on this trip alone, and you will only pay half price for every other train ride you take from now on. For one year it costs CHF 150. For more information, visit the SBB website. For those of you who feel CHF 150 is too much, you can also get a Weekend Halb-Tax, which costs CHF 30 and is valid for one month (5 weekends in a row). We recommend this if you are only here for one month, and if you only travel on weekends. Otherwise the regular Halb-Tax Abonnement is preferable. See the website for more information.
The participation fee is payed at the beginning of the weekend.

Important
Train ticket Updates
- Due to high number of people coming from Zurich or surroundings, we will also buy a group ticket from ZURICH (only from Zurich, not from other cities) to Luzern for the people who are interested. Please write (in the remarks section) if you want us to inlcude you when registering.
- Please do indicate whether you have only Halbtax, Halbtax and Gleis 7, only Gleis 7, GA, or nothing. Usually (but not always) you have Halbtax when you have Gleis 7 -- please tell us!
Airboarding a deux
The Airboard is a new type of winter sport equipment, invented here in Switzerland. We rented 25 Airboards, directly from the inventor. Since we are more people, two people will be sharing a board. This gives you the choice of waiting for your partner and commenting on his latest wild stunt, or you can enjoy the Glacier Fun Park.
Glacier
Remember, we will be on a glacier. It is a high alpine enviroment:
There might be glacier gaps, the weather can change quickly.
Therefore: Never ever leave the marked slopes!
Safety on Airboard
Please check the safety recommandations by visiting the Airboard website (click on Products, then on Safety Instructions).
IAESTE Switzerland is not responsible for anything in case of an accident. Make
sure that you are well insured.
Number of participants and registration
Please register for this event between 2005-05-20 09:00 and 2005-05-25 12:00 (registration exclusively electronically and in the given time frame; link for registration published here during this time).
The first ones to do so who fit in our group of up to 40 people (including helpers) are in! If the list of participants is already filled up, you can still register. You are then added to the waiting list, and with a bit of luck you can still join!
