Industrial Sights
In the past, trainees told us that they wished to have more exposure to the industry during their time in Switzerland. To respond to this need, IAESTE introduced the visits to Industrial Sights several years ago. They are designed to take trainees to different companies and introduce them to different technologies. The trips usually last between 2 and 4 hours and cover the basic areas of the respective company.
Don't be scared, this is not dry theory, especially not this time!
Unser Bier brewery
Unser Bier brewery AG was founded in 1997. They started first with a 100 liter brewing plant. Within short time this brewery became popular in the region of Basel. Since a few years Unser Bier produces beer with a high class 22 hectolitre facility from Beraplan Härter. Taking into account their storage facilities, Unser Bier is able to produce up to 4000 hectolitre of beer per year.
Programme
IAESTE LC Basel offers you an interesting evening at the Unser Bier brewery in Basel. First we are going to see a interesting dia show with instructions about how to brew your own beer at home! That's actually how this brewery came to life. Then we will be guided through the whole facility. And meanwhile tasting their fabulous beer of course!
But this is not enough! After the first part we'll have dinner there as well. Ham, sausages, (cheese for vegetarians), salads and much more. And not to forget some more beer. Details will follow.
Later in the evening we'll go to town and spontaneously decide what's going to be next. Suggestions are checking out bar and later on discotheques if wished.
