Program

Saturday, August 19
Meeting at 08:40 under the big clock in Zurich main station's main hall Train ride to Appenzell in a historical train Guided tour in Appenzell, including cheese degustation. (www.appenzeller.ch provides more information about the Appenzeller cheese) Visit of an original cheese factory BBQ or dinner (depending on the weather) Walk (45 min) to the accommodation, which is located at the Seealpsee (right picture) Party at the hotel (Hotel Seealpsee)
Sunday, August 20
Swimming or rowing on the lake Seealpsee Taking the cable car to Ebenalp (Check out the webcam Ebenalp) Walk to the Wildkirchli caves and visit of the prehistorical escavations Hiking in the area Transfer to Appenzell and end of the weekend

Participation fees

• With SBB General Abonnement (GA): 60 CHF
• With SBB half-fare (1/2) and Gleis 7: 75 CHF
• With SBB half-fare (1/2) but no Gleis 7: 90 CHF
• Without SBB half-fare (1/2): 120 CHF

If you do not yet have a SBB half-fare card, we recommend you buying one! Check the SBB website!

A surcharge of 25 CHF will apply for participants who are not affiliated with IAESTE or its partner organisations.

The money will be collected at the start of the weekend. Only cash is accepted! :-)

• Train from Zurich to Appenzell and back
• Transportation during the weekend
• Guided tour to Appenzell, including cheese degustation and drinks
• BBQ / Dinner
• Accommodation and breakfast

Not included in the price

• Transfer from your place to Zurich and back
• Lunch on Saturday

Important - what to bring

• Lunch for Saturday
• Hiking shoes
• Swimming suit, towel (for swimming in Seealpsee)
• Sunglasses and sun cream
• Lots of energy and your best smile!
• No sleeping bag is required

We will meet Zurich main station on Saturday at 08:40, under the big clock in the main hall. Please be in time

IAESTE Switzerland is not responsible for any damage or accident! Make sure that you are well insured (medical, accidental & liability insurance!).

During the first two days after registration opens, IAESTE trainees and members will be given priority. After that, registration is open to everybody on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Number of participants and registration

Please register for this event between 2006-08-15 12:00 and 2006-08-15 17:00 (registration exclusively electronically and in the given time frame, valid e-mail address required; link for registration published here during this time).

The first ones to do so who fit in our group of up to 33 people (including helpers) are in! If the list of participants is already filled up, you can still register. You are then added to the waiting list, and with a bit of luck you can still join!
