IAESTE Baar & E-Biking Weekend 2006
July 29-30

A bit of fun, nature and history...awaits you on this trip!

Chapel

Kloster Einsiedeln
Our trip will start with a guided tour through the old abbey in the city of Einsiedeln. Located in the heart of Switzerland, it has a large historic background and is full of stories, reaching back to the year 835...

e-bikes
After picking up our electro bikes, an easy trip through central Switzerland will lead us to Meierskappel. The house where we will sleep over is placed wonderfully just at the border of the lake of Zug, so in addition to having a BBQ, you will have the opportunity to go for a swim.

Zug & Baar
On the second day, a short boat-trip takes us to Zug, where we join for a guided tour of the old town of Zug.
After having lunch, we will start an excursion to the caves named Höllgrotten, discovered in the year 1863. They consist of a huge system of underground caves and lakes, filled with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites which nature has created over thousands of years...

Varia
Please read about the general road signs in Switzerland - so that you dont get lost and dont take a motorway with your bikes!
Check out a few pictures to get an idea of the charm of the old town of Zug!
