IAESTE Easy Hiking Weekend September 2-3, 2006 Don't miss the traditional IAESTE Hiking weekend 2006!! Switzerland is one of the best places for hiking, and this is your chance to join us for discovering the alps on foot!

Program: Saturday, September 2 Start: Fiesch train station 10:30 Cable car to Fiescheralp and Eggishorn, drop the luggage Start of the hiking trip at 12:30 Lunch at Mäjelensee, right beside the biggest glacier of the Alps! Beautiful hike to the 'Bettmerhorn' with a breathtaking view 'Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau' and the glacier Dinner around 19:00 Evening program Sunday, September 3 Wake up Travel via Bettmeralp to Brigerbad Swimming in the thermals, relax and regenerate from the hiking trip! 18:52 Trip back to Zurich/Basel Accommodation: We will sleep over in a small, but well equipped cottage in the middle of the Alps, at a height of 2200m. A sleeping bag is needed, showers and blankets are provided.

Train Connections

Meeting point for all participants is in Fiesch at 10:30! For anyone travelling from Zurich; we will meet in Zurich HB at the meeting point at 07:00.

• Warm clothes / rain coat if the weather forecast is bad
• Lunch for Saturday, including enough water for the hiking trip
• Hiking shoes
• Sun block
• Sunglasses
• Swimming suit, towel
• Backpack
• Sleeping bag
• Train ticket from your home town to Fiesch train station

Please try to bring the exact amount of money so that the payment can be done efficiently.

Travel expenses to come to Fiesch and going back are not included!

The following things are included in the price:

• All cable car tickets during the weekend
• Food for dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday
• Accommodation
• Entry to the 'Thermalbad'
• All transports during the weekend (except from your home town to Fiesch and the trip back)

Number of participants and registration

Please register for this event between 2006-08-29 12:00 and 2006-08-30 17:00 (registration exclusively electronically and in the given time frame, valid e-mail address required; link for registration published here during this time).

The first ones to do so who fit in our group of up to 30 people (including helpers) are in! If the list of participants is already filled up, you can still register. You are then added to the waiting list, and with a bit of luck you can still join!
