IAESTE Wellness Weekend 2006
November 04-05

Lenzerheide Lake

So what does 'wellness' mean? Normally it means that you have a relaxed time, going to a thermal bath, visiting a sauna or a massage. But NOT this time!

This time wellness means that we have a weekend full of sports- and fun-activities. We will have the possibility to go ice-skating, swimming, climbing, walking and visiting a thermal bath. Check out the details below for more information.

Climbing

Program

Saturday, November 4
  • start of the weekend at Chur railway station
  • transfer to the indoor climbing center in Chur
  • have lunch on the way or at the climbing center
  • spend the afternoon at the climbing center
  • transfer to our accommodation in Churwalden, have dinner and get ready for the evening
  • partying in Lenzerheide!
Sunday, November 5
  • have breakfast, packing and get ready for another great day!
  • do some walking if the weather is good, have lunch
  • spend the early afternoon at Dieschen sport center in Vaz/Obervaz, with two alternatives (you can choose on the event day)
    • indoor swimming pool, or
    • indoor ice-skating
  • transfer to Bad Ragaz
  • relaxing at Tamina Thermal Baths
  • end of the weekend, heading home

Important - What to bring

  • warm clothes
  • good gloves, winter hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
  • thick socks (recommended if you go ice-skating)
  • swimming suit, towel, slippers
  • all the necessary to be clean and sexy for partying
  • your best smile!
  • lunch for Saturday
  • sleeping bag (you can get a blanket at the house but it costs CHF 10.- extra)

Price

Here is the information you need in order to find out how much this event will cost you.

  • with SBB General Abonnement (GA): 95 CHF
  • with SBB half-fare card (1/2): 115 CHF
  • without GA or 1/2: 135 CHF

If you are not a trainee nor a member of IAESTE or ESN: add 20 CHF

You can use the Gleis7 card to come back on Sunday evening. Check out the details below for more information about tickets.

  • transportation to the climbing center
  • entrance to the climbing center
  • transportation from Chur to Churwalden
  • dinner on Saturday evening
  • accommodation
  • breakfast and lunch on Sunday
  • entrance to ice rink and renting of skates or entrance to swimming pool
  • transportation to Bad Ragaz
  • entrance to the thermal baths

Not included in the price

  • train ticket from your city to Chur (Saturday) and from Bad Ragaz to your city (Sunday)
  • lunch on Saturday
  • transportation from Churwalden to Lenzerheide and back on Saturday night
  • partying on Saturday evening

Meeting Point

We will meet in Chur railway station on Saturday at 10:55. The railway station has a platform above the tracks where all the buses drive. Our meeting point is in front of the kiosk on this platform (click here for a map in PDF format).

For people coming from Zurich we can already meet at the main station. We will be at the meeting point at about 9:10 and can help you buying the tickets. Please be at the meeting point before 9:20. At 9:25 we will go for the train.

Tickets

You have to buy a ticket from your city to Chur and back. For the trip back on Sunday evening you can use your Gleis7.

Number of participants and registration

Please register for this event between 2006-10-25 12:00 and 2006-10-27 17:00 (registration exclusively electronically and in the given time frame, valid e-mail address required; link for registration published here during this time).

The first ones to do so who fit in our group of up to 30 people (including helpers) are in! If the list of participants is already filled up, you can still register. You are then added to the waiting list, and with a bit of luck you can still join!
