Here's your chance to explore the fascinating strip of rocks that dominates the beautiful Swiss landscape... The Alps
We're not only going up, but also going in!
Saturday will start off with a proper introduction to rock climbing, with professional instructors... Have you seen Spiderman?
Were you fascinated? Now it's your chance to make him look like an amateur...
On Sunday we have the chance to visit part of the biggest building site in the world - the legendary Gotthard tunnel!
The site's own TGV will take us into the tunnel and our tour guide will introduce us to the fascinating construction site
1000m inside the mountain.
After exploring the tunnel, we will enjoy a pizza lunch... yum yum...
Our weekend will end with a relaxing evening in the thermal baths... with pools outside and inside to unwind...
Participation fees
- With SBB General Abonnement (GA): 115 CHF
- With SBB half-fare card (1/2): 135 CHF
- Without GA or 1/2: 155 CHF
A surcharge of 10 CHF will apply for participants who are not affiliated with IAESTE or its partner organizations.
Included in the participation fee
- Entrance to the climbing hall, instructors and gear
- Dinner on Saturday, accommodation and breakfast in Sedrun
- Entrance to the building site with guided tour
- Pizza in a pizzeria
- Train from Sedrun to Bad Ragaz
- Entrance to the thermal bath in Bad Ragaz
Cancellation policy
- If you cancel less than 12 hours before the start of the event (event start: 10.15am, Saturday), you pay 100%
- If you cancel 12-24 hours before, you pay 75%
- If you cancel 24-48 hours before, you pay 50%
- If you cancel 48-72 hours before, you pay 25%
Important - What to bring:
- A train ticket from your home to 'Sedrun', via Chur
- Lunch for Saturday
- Clothes you can wear to climb (t-shirt, comfortable pants)
- Clothes to go party in party-town Sedrun
- Proper shoes to go on a building site
- Bathing suits/towels
- A ticket home from Bad Ragaz (we're leaving after 7pm)
- Your best weekend-mood
Meeting point and train connections
Meeting Point for the weekend: Chur Train Station at 10:45
People traveling from Zurich: Meet at 09:00 under the big clock, be there on time and have your ticket already purchased!

The maximum number of participants allowed for this event is
20 (including organizers and helpers) and
the registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If your
registration is not among the first 20, you will be put on
the waiting list. With a bit of luck, you will still
be able to participate!
