IAESTE Luzern Weekend 2007
September 01-02

Lucerne City
Lies at the end of the Lake of Lucerne - at the
romantic alpin railway which connects the heart of Lucerne Valley with
the international airports of Geneva and Zurich. Lucerne City is one
of the 6 best tourist, culture and congress destinations world-wide -
ranking behind metropolis as Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Florence and
Vienna, and followed by London, Seattle, San Diego, and Venice.
Pilatus
So close to Lucerne and so easy to reach by
public transport, Mount Pilatus (2132 m altitude) is the perfect peak
for everyone, large or small. 2 aerial cableways, 2 hotels, 7
restaurants, the world's steepest cogwheel railway and Central
Switzerland's biggest suspension rope park guarantee exciting
excursions. All kinds of sports fans meet here to hike, climb,
toboggan sledge, bike and sledge (6 km sledge run). Plus: events,
attractions and fun galore!
