Tour Details

Saturday - Day 1

On the first day you'll get the chance to become familiar with your mountain bike. The tour first goes uphill on tarmac road and forest roads, then the last uphill section will test your fitness. At "Stäfeli" we'll take our break. Then it's up to you to choose between a nice single trail or the forest road for the way back to Engelberg. Total length of tour: about 20 kilometers

Sunday - Day 2

On the second day we will make our way up to lake Trüebsee where the Engelberg ski area begins. The first 250m uphill are on forest road. Next section with 440m altitude difference offers two options: Depending on your fitness we let you choose between a cable car or you show your uphill mountain bike skills on the single trail towards lake Trüebsee. Another 100m uphill and we'll reach the lake. Time for a break. After a lap around the lake, you either take regular trail down or alternatively the tricky single trail called "Kanonenrohr" heading back to Engelberg. The last section on the way back again lets you choose between forest road or single trails. Total length of tour: about 25 kilometers

Please take with you:
